Here’s Proof The Mer-Folk Existed
Mermaids Were real, but they’re not what we think.
Here’s what I’ve managed to find out so far; Mermaids did exist, they were seen from shorelines by “men of repute” (a phrase used in the olden days of those men whose reputations depended on truthfulness.) The females were called Mermaids, the males: Tritons. Males had tusks, but were otherwise indistinguishable from the female in anatomy, including having breasts. They were even different racial species; with different hair colors. Blue, red, green, black and brown hair were all mentioned. The Merfolk found around Asia had flatter faces than those seen in North America.
And then around 1830, they started being ridiculed. Mentions of Mermaids in corny jokes and fictional, extravagant stories. This was very obviously to me, a coordinated effort to hide the existence of a very real, now extinct, species of mammalian.
The following clips were published between years 1770-1820.
As a tip for reading old newspaper text, the S, for whatever reason, is typed using an F.
